Specifications

Email can reflect the tone of an organization just as much as your business card or other communication and is an important part of the brand identity. When representing IDEXX, set a simple, modern, intuitive signature.

Personalizing your signature
  • Your name. When applicable, add professional credentials after your name, e.g., Jane Doe, DVM, PhD.
  • Position title and organizational unit
  • The company name and mailing address. We recommend spelling out states and provinces (versus two-letter abbreviations).
  • Phone numbers. The number(s) at which you prefer to be reached, divided by hyphens.
  • Additional keys to personalizing your signature. Your phone numbers should be preceded by one of the following abbreviations:
    • o. ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬†Office number
    • m. ¬† ¬† ¬† Mobile number
    • f. ¬† ¬† ¬† ¬† Fax number, if needed
    • o./f. ¬† ¬†When office and fax number are the same
  • Customer Support and Sales. Note: When listing an 800 number, proceed with ‚Äú1-‚ÄĚ (i.e., 1-800-xxx-xxxx). Add region alignment if appropriate after your organizational unit. For example: CAG Inside Sales Center Northeast Region. If you are a member of the Sales organization and additional language would be helpful to direct people to order, consider adding the following as a third line: To place an order, please call 1-800-xxx-IDEXX (xxxxx) or visit idexx.com/order.

Livestock, Poultry and Dairy incorporates the ‚ÄúTest with Confidence‚ĄĘ‚ÄĚ tagline into their signature.¬†

Microsoft Outlook (PC version)
  1. Type "signature" in the Tell me what you want to do field.
  2. Select New signature.
  3. Copy (with formatting) one of the templates on the document downloadable below and paste into the Signature section.

4. Update the signature with your own name, position, organizational unit, IDEXX mailing address, and phone number.
5. Select your updated IDEXX signature for both New Messages and Replies/forwards.
6. Rename your standard if you wish, and click OK to exit.
 

Microsoft Outlook (Mac version)

1. Open Signatures:

  • Outlook¬†
  • Outlook>Preferences>Signatures

2. Copy (with formatting) one of the following templates and paste into the Signature section on the right:

3. Update the signature with your own name, position, organizational unit, IDEXX mailing address, and phone number.
4. To select your updated IDEXX signature for new email, replies, and forwards: Default Signatures>Idexx account>select your updated signature.
5. Click OK and then click the red button on the upper left to exit.
 

Apple iPhone (iOS version 4 or later)
  1. From a computer, send an email to yourself that contains your branded signature.
  2. Open the email on your iPhone and tap Reply.
  3. Double-tap anywhere within the signature copy. When the pop-up menu appears, tap Select All, and then tap Copy.
  4. Launch the Settings app.
  5. Select Mail.
  6. In the Mail section, select Signature.
  7. In the box provided, place/replace with your branded signature.
  8. Your signature will be in all black. Shake your iPhone and tap Undo in order to remove any automatic formatting iOS may have applied. Your signature will not match your Outlook signature exactly, but the bolded corporate red in your name and the size of the text will remain intact.
  9. Tap < Mail in the upper-left corner of the screen to save your signature.
